- The New TWRA Gordonsville Access is open. The Access is loacted adjacent to the Thayer S. Wilson Bridge on state highway 264. The Ramp is located 6 miles below Betty's Island Access and 4 miles above the South Carthage Acceess. The new access fills a large access void on the Caney Fork
- This year the Smith County Fair is featuring "Paddle Inn.". The event will feature a 10 mile Kayak Race from Betty"s Island to the South Carthage Access/Fairgrounds and a family oriented float or "Paddle Inn" to the Fair. The "Paddle Inn" will begin atthe Gordonsville Access and end at the South Carthage Aceesss/Fairgroiunds. For information on participation please contact Caney Fork Surf.
